I've decided to try "blogging" so you all can stay up to date with our lives. So check back every now and then to see what's new :)
We are all still adjusting to Washington. We haven't really made any new friends besides the neighbors, whose kids play with Kenzie. But, so far everyone seems nice. The weather has been extremely nice lately. It's been very sunny, high in the 60's! Kenzie and I have been planting, or should I say, "repotting" flowers. We have a few Hibiscus, Dahlias, Tiger Lilys, one Cala Lily, and some Petunias. I'll take some pictures once they start blooming really good.
Keira is walking around everywhere. She has even figured out how to get the safety plugs out of electrical outlets. So, I really have to watch her. She eats everything in sight and especially loves the taste of crayons. It's amazing how two children can be so different. Kenzie hardly ever got into anything whereas Keira is so inquisitive. But, I love it and wouldn't want it any other way. They love to play outside and soon will be enjoying their new Pup, Rocko. Rocko is a brindle boxer who is being shipped to us from Missouri. Since he will be so small, it will be nice for him to grow up with the girls. They LOVE animals.
Keira's first birthday is right around the corner. We can't believe she will be "one" already. Where has the time gone? We are having a birthday party for her on Saturday, June 6th. I wish all of our family and friends could be here but we will make sure we take lots of pictures to share on her special day.
My parents were here to visit for a few weeks. We didn't really do too much except relax and sight see. My sister and my nephew will be here on June 20th for a week visit. Kenzie is really excited to see her cousin. They really miss each other. I think we will attempt to visit Mt. Rainer and Pike's Place Market in Seattle while they are here. I hope we have some awesome weather too at that time.
Well, I must go. The weekend is here and I have tons to do before our new addition (Rocko) arrives on Sunday. I will check back in a few days or so :)
